Core Xeon
Dual Quad-Core Xeon Mac Pro Core 2 Quad or build?
Hi, I need your expertise.
I edit a photo a lot, and sometimes edit videos as well. I need a computer that can perform these tasks as quickly as possible without crashing ... I have my eyes on the Mac Pro (Dual Quad-Core Xeon 2.8) .. it is quiet expensive to consider going Raid HDD 10K rpm or more ... and I did not use a Mac for 14 years ... Can I run bootcamp on this option to run Windows XP? I can also build a Core 2 Quad / extreme for much less with RAID included. I do not know if I needed the raid, or how well these two processors compared, or is the best OS to make photo / video editing. Thank you for your help! greatly appreciated!
If your main goal is to focus on your business without the hassle of your machine with Mac OS is your choice of need. All you have requested are exactly what Mac has to offer, 64-bit power and all. Find out what Leopard has to offer from below: http://www.apple.com/macosx/technology/ If you want to continue using your Windows applications, simply. Boot Camp Setup and install your Windows partition on her so that all your available HW and SW would still work with your Mac, natively and flawless! Machine Mac is the only platform that you could run legally OSX, Windows and Linux off a single machine! Of course, it costs a little more, but in the long run, it would be the reason for the initial cost of equipment. As I said in another answer, the configuration of the display monitor on a Mac is much more advanced if your display accuracy is mandatory. In addition, since you are doing a lot of graphic work, you remember something of the order-as opposed to control things? You need to know what I mean. But if you have considerable time and expertise on your hand to play with your machine, then it is your choice.
