what is the best dual channel memory (RAM) and power (PSU) for my pc?
My pc specs are as follows: Graphics: MSI GeForce GTX 570 1280MB Overclocked CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K case: CoolerMaster HAF case X HDD / SDD: Corsair 60 GB WD SATA SSD series Force Black 1 TB + 3 Blu-ray SATA Blu-Ray LG Memory Kit 8G (4Gx2) 2000-PQI Turbo Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme (Not including memory and PSU) For the record, I'm looking for something around $ 200 and less for power im looking for something around $ 200 MAX but more likely around $ 150 ish. Any help would be great heap Thank you;) Incidentally. I was a consultant to the Corsair HX 650 and HX supplies 750 to power, they seem like a good option, but they are incredibly dear! especially 750. I heard that with a PC build like mine HX 650 doesn't have enough power or something if a power of 750 watts would be better, but I'm not really sure: / lol
A good quality 650W power supply would be good. If you are looking for a bargain, try this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018 I can not recommend RAM, as I do not know what your motherboard. You'll need to find RAM is compatible with your motherboard. If you want to save money AMR, get a kit of 3 or 4 GB RAM, depending on whether your motherboard is dual channel and triple channel. For dual channel, get 2 x 2 GB kit. For triple-channel, get 3 X 1 GB kit. If you think you need more RAM, try this. . . ctrl / alt / del, task manager to launch, the percentage of the score of physical RAM used. On a typical computer with 4 GB of physical RAM installed, you'll never see Windows 7 use over 33% of physical RAM ... unless some of the RAM system is borrowed by a video chip on the motherboard. True, Windows 7 most all applications. operating on Windows 7 will not generally use more than about 1.3 GB of physical RAM. Do not take my word, I posted instructions on how you can check yourself. Me, I'm not going to build a system with less or more than 2 GB of physical RAM. Every computer I checked, the use of physical RAM is always less than 1.5 GB Always. Even if I run a number of applications simultaneously INSANE. And in case you are wondering about the page file / swap file. . . just check load involved and you will see. . . pagefile is not used! (Commit charge is exactly equal to the physical RAM in use, This means that the physical RAM is used)
