This set-up for a laptop is okay, but I really don't recommend a gaming laptop unless its by a known gaming laptop manufacturer. You should really just have spent the money on a desktop which will probably be 1/4 less the price of this laptop, but a whole lot better for gaming. The Intel i7 is running at slow speed, while others may disagree, a decent speed for me would be at least 3.2. I got my Intel i7 930 running @ 3.8, but if you don't want to overclock, then i recommend you stay with the 8xx series of the i7 family.
The graphics card is decent, i would have spent more cash into upgrading into the 4xx series if it was possible for the customization. This set-up probably won't even get 15 FPS on Crysis. Although, if you are just playing StarCraft 2 or something that doesn't require too much emphasis on the GPU, then this is I guess would be a decent gaming computer.

All in all the grand total was only $850. Your laptop probably cost more than that.
