Plug in hard drive and access it?
My friends computer just broke and she need important info on it. Can i take her inernal hard drive and plug it into my computer and use it as a second hard drive without reformating it? to access the data and take it.
It really just depends on what broke. If it wasn't the hard drive, it can be recovered easily, but as far as just pluggin it in and using as a second drive, what are you plugging it into? If it was her primary C drive, its not gonna have a usb connection on it, it will need to be placed on an internal motherboard. If your pc supports multiple hard drives, there shouldn't be a problem, but many don't, the main drive is just partitioned into a C and D(recovery) drive(only one physical drive).
