Motherboard Sata
my dvd has a ide port, but the motherboard has a sata cable?
im not sure how to connect it, the dvd drive that i bought has a ide port, but i notieced after i bought it that my motherboard has a sata cable, im not sure how to connect it, does anyone know? maybe instructions or a video or something? do i need to buy a converter?
Most motherboard have at least one regular IDE port, too. If yours doesn't, then you need a SATA to ATA/IDE converter, like this one:
